Dennis: You were going to tell the parents that the children are changelings. Christian: What if the parents reject the changeling children? Mike: We could take the children somewhere safe. Christian: Then we lie to someone else? Mike: No, someone willing to keep them safe. Christian: We can always tell them later if we do find the human children. Mike: if we don't tell them and they find out we knew, they won't be happy with us later. Let's not kill the children. We should tell them and be honest. Dan: What's the upside? We're making the parents cross to bear heavier. Christian: We don't know why there were switched in the first place Mike: The fairies want their children back. If they don't get them back, they might kill the children. [Editor's note: they might kill the *human* children.] Dan: I don't see the upside, we're at an impasse. Mike: Fairies use human parents to raise their children. If we tell them, if you just take care of these changelings, it's your best bet to get your own children back. Dan: Pay them some money to care for the kids, but not tell them. Give them some sort of incentive. Mike: If they find out before... Dan: We'll tell them unless we agree not to. Christian: They might give the children away. Mike: I don't think they would do that...it would be in their interests to protect the children. If they don't want to, we can probably find someone who would. Christian: We don't necessarily know what the fairies want. [We discuss why fairies steal children, do they know where the human children are? Dennis reads from Gregor's Apocyrpha, which I think is where they learned about changelings in Game 1: "Fairies steal human children and replace them with their own fairy children, changelings, for their own nefarious purposes."] Christian: I think we should hold off telling them. Dan: We'll return them. But whether they tell them it's up to you (meaning Mike?) Mike: What does Fayne think? Fayne: Not telling them now and then circling back could be interesting. Dan: We could give them some money. Mike: But if you're not going to tell them. Dan: Our mission is to try to find the kids and maybe find laurels. We know where the changelings live, we can come back. We're the only ones who know. I want to get some treasure. Fayne: No one ever told them before? Dennis: Seems not. Mike: My vote is, I think we should tell them, because Dennis says no one has ever told them. It seems like a lot of fun. Christian: I vote to not tell them yet. Dan: I would say not tell them, give them money. Christian: Probably not give them money. Fayne: Leaning toward telling them, so let's roll. [They flip a coin, Mike wins. So they decide to tell them.] Mike: As soon as Dennis said no one has told them.
